Fast Start with FluentSMTP: Setting Up Brevo SMTP
To set up Brevo SMTP in FluentSMTP, follow these simple steps:
- Create or Log into Your Brevo Account
Go to Brevo and log in or create an account.
Navigate to SMTP & API in your dashboard. - Generate Your Brevo SMTP Credentials
In SMTP & API, open the API Settings tab.
Click “Generate a New SMTP Key” and name it “Launchkit”.
Copy the key and save it securely.
Go to Settings > Senders, Domains & Dedicated IPs to confirm your domain is authenticated.
If not, follow the instructions to authenticate it. - Configure FluentSMTP in WordPress
In WordPress, go to Settings > FluentSMTP > Settings.
Click “Add Another Connection” and select “Other SMTP”.
Enter the following details:- SMTP Host: smtp-relay.brevo.com
- SMTP Port: 465
- Encryption: SSL (disable Auto TLS)
- SMTP Username: Your Brevo SMTP login (ends in @smtp-brevo.com)
- SMTP Password: Your Brevo Master Password
- Send a Test Email
Save the connection settings.
Go to the Email Test tab and send a test email to confirm everything works. - Troubleshooting if Emails Don’t Send
- Ensure your domain is authenticated under Settings > Senders, Domains & Dedicated IPs.
- Check SMTP logs in Brevo (Transactional > Logs) to diagnose errors.
- Use whatsmydns.net to check if your domain’s SMTP records are resolving properly.
Once set up, FluentSMTP will route emails through Brevo, improving deliverability.
